A arte de pintar as unhas remonta de civilizações ancestrais, além de decorativas elas simbolizavam um estatus social, para conhecer um pouco desta fascinante história visite o post curiosidades: Unhas. Aqui eu vou falar sobre as unhas que eu fiz em uma viagem à Tailândia.
A Tailândia é um pais de muita cultura ancestral, de muita beleza, de grandes surpresas para o visitante. Um pais vibrante, de belezas naturais, de tradição, aonde o rei até hoje é venerado e respeitado, o budismo está presente na vida Thai e praticada em aproximadamente 94% da população. A arte está presente nos templos, na decoração nas roupas, na comida, em todo lugar e não poderia ser diferente na arte de pintar as unhas. Eu não tenhho o hábito de pintar as unhas. Mas quando vi esta vitrine em Sukhothay, que fica no norte da Tailândia, me encantei com o trabalho. É tudo feito manualmente, nos mínimos detalhes. Claro que quis experimentar!

Thailand is a country of ancient culture, very beauty and great surprises for who visit them. A vibrant country of natural beauty, tradition and Thai people have a true and deep feeling of love and respect for their King. The Buddhism is present in Thai life and practiced in approximately 94% of the population. The art is present in the temples, clothes, food, and couldn't be different in the nails paint. Normally I don't paint my nails, but when I saw this storefront window in Sukhothai, north of Thailand, I fell in love for it that is an art. Of course I had to try out!
Como eu não costumo pintar as unhas eu decidi fazer apenas os polegares.
Usually I not paint my nails so I decided paint only my thumbs.
Haviam várias opções do tipo de arte a ser feita, eu optei por algo que lembrasse a Tailândia. A meu ver não teria graça pintar CHANEL no meu polegar, afinal eu queria algo que remetesse às tradições deste pais fabuloso que é a Tailândia. Primeiro foi colocada uma unha postiça e lixada.
There were several options of art nail paint, but I really looked for something to bring in my memories this fascinating country. Channel design in my thumb would not be a good choice so I decided for something to refer to the Thailand traditions. First step a faux nail was placed and sanded.
Uma base escura no tom bordô foi usada, logo após uma cor mais clara foi sobreposta na ponta. Com uma pequena esponja foi feito o efeito degradê.
A dark magenta was used as a base and a lighter color was superposde on the tip. With a small sponge she did a gradient effect.
Como na porcelana, uma massa foi usada para fazer os detalhes na minha unha.
Like in porcelain a mass was used to do the details in the nails.
É impressionante a técnica e agilidade da artista. De uma pequena bola ela começou a fazer a pétala da flor.
Her technique and agility is amazing, from a small ball she began to make the flower petal.
Ela usou apenas um pincel fino para ir detalhando cada flor.
She used only a thin paint-brush to detail the flower.
Com um palito ela foi colocando o miolo (minúsculo!!!) da flor
With a toothpick she made the center (tiny!!!) of the flower
Fazendo o acabamento, algumas pequenas pedras foram acrescentadas.

Eu amei! Fui muito bem recebida no salão com um belo sorriso de Thitayawee, com aquela alegria que é o orgulho dos Tailândeses por serem conhecidos como o "País do sorriso". Mas se engana quem acha que o sorriso signifique que se gosta de algo ou alguém, vai além disto. O sorriso Thai pode expressar muitas emoções, sem necesssariamente precisar de uma ação verbal ou física. Ele pode também ser usado para confrontar situações difíceis, podendo significar sua apreciação ou não (Fonte: www.thethailandlife.com)

But if you thought the Thai smile is simply used to show a liking of something or someone, you’d be very much mistaken. The Thai smile is genius in that it allows one to express a range of emotions without physically or verbally taking action.
